I’m Janet - the photographer behind every Janet Henry Photography session, from the first hello to the final gallery delivery. I love getting to know each family I work with, and I treat every gallery like it’s my own.
I married my college sweetheart and we’re raising three kids together. This season of life with little ones is full and hard and beautiful and exhausting - and full of so much joy. It’s the reason I do what I do: I want every family I photograph to be able to look back at these years and remember the love, not the laundry.
A good talk with Jesus and a strong cup of coffee can fix any problem. I love food (gluten- and dairy-free out of necessity, but I’ve gotten good at it), travel, and saying yes to the next adventure. Some favorites so far: Iceland, Italy, the Grand Canyon, and Zion.
I spent many years in elementary and preschool classrooms while I pursued my passion for photography on the side. After a lot of practice, a lot of coffee, and a lot of patient families, I came to really love working with families, little kids, and newborns. That’s the heart of what I do now.
